This is an excellent book that takes the married couple to focus on the basic importance of marriage. The Gospel given through the Means of Grace. For without the couple focusing on their bond in Christ and how that is strengthened in the Divine Service the marriage will struggle but in Christ and his means of grace the marriage will continue to be strengthened. Kurowski's book and Jerabek's questions at the end are very helpful in the Premarital pastoral care of a couple looking forward to a lifetime of marriage.Product details

This is an excellent book with much wisdom and practical guidance. Well written. Great gift for the newlyweds, too.
I use this with every premarital session that I do. The couple has to buy this, read it together, and discuss it with me. So many people will be giving them guidelines for their marriage, yet here Kurowski gives lifelines to power their marriage down the path God created marriage to be.
The sections are powerful with their wit, humor and drawings which illustrate from real life important factors in a rich and God pleasing lifetime union.
If I am correct, this is the third edition of Dr. Kurowski's book, "Lifelines Of Love"; now I own all three editions. I have likely purchased about 60 or more of them through the years as I use this book as a guide through pre-marital counseling, marital conflict counseling, and just a communication book in general for marriages and for couples/relationships/friendships. Additionally, I have given numerous of these books away through the years as I think it is one of the best Biblically based books available that is Means of Grace (Word and Sacraments) based. This is an outstanding book with the wisdom of Scripture beautifully applied in a truly evangelical way to confront and deal with daily trials and tests along this earthly journey that is often filled with potholes and slippery roads. Everyone who reads this book, whether for the first time or the tenth time, no matter if single or married, can benefit from it. Many thanks to Dr. Kurowski for his gift of this book to the multitudes!
